T1000 and Samurai Winches for Specialist Vehicles
The Warrior T1000 severe-duty range is designed for applications that require substantial pulling capacity and robust environmental protection. Developed from a military prototype, selected T1000 models feature hardened planetary gearing, an external braking system and IP68-rated protection. Capacities and configurations vary by model, so review the product specifications when assessing suitability for a specialist vehicle installation.
The Warrior Samurai range provides additional high-capacity electric winching options, including selected models rated at 12,000lb, 17,500lb and 20,000lb. With different voltage and rope configurations available across the collection, the range offers further options for suitable vehicle recovery and pulling applications.
Choosing the Right Armoured Vehicle Winch
Winch selection should begin with the vehicle platform and the task the equipment is expected to perform. Consider the required line pull, vehicle weight, recovery conditions, available electrical supply, duty cycle, rope length and mounting arrangement. For specialist or defence vehicle installations, also assess the environmental conditions, control requirements and any applicable procurement or integration standards.
Confirm that the winch, mounting structure, electrical system, rope and associated recovery equipment are correctly rated for the intended task. Rated line pull can vary with the amount of rope on the drum, and the winch must be installed and operated in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Do not use a pulling winch to lift suspended loads unless it is specifically designed and approved for lifting.
Whether you're specifying equipment for a specialist vehicle platform or sourcing a severe-duty winch for demanding recovery work, Warrior Winches offers high-capacity electric options to compare. Review the specifications of each model to identify a suitable solution for your vehicle and operating requirements.
